The role of Elementary education in protecting local environment

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of primary education in preserving the environment of each region and the importance of appropriate education in this field. This research is applied in terms of purpose type and survey in terms of nature. The tool used to collect information is a questionnaire consisting of 15 questions. The statistical population of this research consisted of all primary school teachers in Taft city in the academic year 1401-1400. In order to gain validity and to assess the validity of the questionnaire, it was reviewed by several professors and education specialists and approved by respected professors, and its reliability was calculated by Cronbach's alpha coefficient test, which is equal to / 84. . The questionnaire was then distributed among primary school teachers through various sites or social networks. A total of 128 respondents completed the questionnaire. Descriptive statistical methods (percentage, frequency and mean and standard deviation) were used to analyze the data of this study. The results of this study showed that teachers with the necessary training in the field of environmental protection can, through in-class and out-of-class activities, make children interested in environmental protection and institutionalize environmental ethics in them.
