Analysis of the content of Persian books in the elementary period based on the introduction of Iranian-Islamic myths, patterns and thinkers

Abstract

The aim of the current research was to analyze the content of Persian books in elementary school by introducing Iranian Islamic myths, patterns and thinkers. This quantitative-qualitative research used applied and content analysis method. The statistical population of this research was the Persian curriculum from first to sixth grade. The content analysis checklist that its content validity was approved served as a data collection instrument, prepared in five components after a general overview of Persian books in elementary school in the form of four personality dimensions (literary, scientific-philosophical, militant and revolutionary as well as athletic). The research results have shown that the greatest attention is paid to Iranian Islamic myths, models and thinkers to literary characters, then to militant and revolutionary characters, and the least attention is paid to sports figures. Regarding literary characters, the highest level of attention was assigned to the sixth grade and the lowest level to the first grade of elementary school
