Investigating the Relationship between the Supervision and Guidance of Educational Leaders and the Professional Qualifications of Teachers and Principals of Elementary Schools

Abstract

Background and Objectives: The purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between the supervision and guidance of educational leaders and the professional qualifications of teachers and principals of primary schools in Asadabad City in the academic year of 2023-2024. Methods: The method of the research was a descriptive-survey of the correlation type and the statistical population including principals and teachers of primary school were 443, 210 individuals were selected by simple random sampling method. The measurement tools included the standard guidance and supervision questionnaires of Sobhaninejad and Agha Hosseini (2014) and the researcher-made questionnaire of the professional qualifications of teachers and administrators. The reliability of the questionnaires is higher than 7% And their validity was confirmed by experts before implementation. The statistical methods of Pearson correlation coefficient, simultaneous regression and independent groups t-test were used. Findings: The findings showed that the supervision and guidance of educational and educational leaders improve the knowledge, skill, attitude/value, personality/ethical and research qualifications of teachers. The t-test of independent groups showed that there is no significant difference between the opinions of teachers and administrators regarding the supervision and guidance of educational leaders. Conclusion: The results of the research showed that the supervision and guidance of educational and educational leaders improves the professional qualifications of teachers and principals of primary schools.
