Background and Objectives: The current research was conducted with the aim of the effectiveness of emotional self-control training on collective communication and abnormal behaviors in elementary school students (sixth grade). Methods: The research method was semi-experimental and used pre-test-post-test designs with a control group. The statistical population includes all elementary school students in Kerman City who were in the academic year 1402-1403, 30 students were selected using the convenient method. The measurement tools of Matson et al Social Skill Questionnaire (1983) Rutter's Behavioral Assessment (1967) and the emotion regulation intervention package based on the Gross process model (2007) were presented in 8 sessions(75 minutes). It should be noted that both groups completed Matson et al.'s (1983) social skill questionnaires and Rutter's (1967) behavioral assessment as a pre-test. Participants of the experimental group were trained for eight 75-minute sessions, while the control group did not participate in emotional self-control training classes. After the training, a post-test was taken from both experimental and control groups. The collected data were analyzed using multivariate covariance analysis and spss24. Findings: Based on the findings of this research, it can be concluded that emotional self-control training is effective in collective communication and abnormal behaviors in elementary school students. Conclusion: According to the findings of the research, it is suggested that the use of teaching emotional self-control skills in educational and educational workshops should be more and more noticed by teachers, educators, and parents.
