Background and Objectives: A qualitative analysis of responsibility strategies in elementary school students is based on a phenomenological approach.
Methodology: The present study is applied in terms of purpose, descriptive and survey in terms of data collection, and qualitative (phenomenological) in terms of research approach and method. The statistical population included all elementary school teachers in Semnan in the academic year 1403-1404, and the sampling method (purposive - snowball) and sample size were determined by theoretical saturation method (15 people). In phenomenological research, the goal is to select samples rich in information that can best represent the experience of the phenomenon under study. The data collection tool in this study is a semi-structured phenomenological interview. To analyze the data collected from the interviews, the phenomenological content analysis method, the Claise model, was used.
Findings: In the conceptual map for school, family, and community responsibility strategies, 4 main themes were determined: understanding the concept, behavioral strategies, emotional experience, and contextual factors of responsibility, and 14 organizing themes including planning and organizing, following up and perseverance, asking for help from others, self-control and time management, performing assigned tasks, commitment and supervision, personal responsibility, social responsibility, competence and capability, satisfaction and pride, belonging and connection, individual and family context, school, and socio-cultural context.
Conclusion: It was shown that educational models or programs can be designed to strengthen responsibility strategies in elementary school students. These models can include group activities, practical projects, and collaborative programs that are implemented in classrooms.
